Ms. Kono has been doing a lot of local support for families and students this summer. This time, she’s accompanied some FES students to JFK and helped them to get settled into a new environment and into their boarding houses.
It’s becoming very hot in Gstaad during this time of summer up until 30 degrees, but on the day of their visit, the weather was cooler and down to 15 degrees.
When they arrived at JFK, the children were hesitant, very shy, and a little nervous as normally felt by students during their first days from start of the camp. But, when the staffs of the summer camp started to warm-up all the students with different kinds of activities, the children got excited and were happy to have participated!
Ms. Kono, together with a prospective family, visited Aiglon College and some other boarding schools for a 10-year old girl who is interested in studying the Academic Year program.
School tours definitely help the parents and the children to decide which school will be more suitable for the children while they are studying and living in Switzerland.
Summer School in Aiglon College has been successful in the past years with their interesting programs and a variety of exciting activities each year. As time flies, their summer program is about to end soon, but it sure must be another great success this year!
La Garenne International School offers Summer Camp from Sessions A to F to children ages 5-14 years old (day and boarding) coming from across the globe. The summer camps are held from June 30th to August 10th.
One of the camp sessions has reached 135 campers (boarders and day students). FES has placed some students to La Garenne joining different summer camp sessions this year.
Our consultant, Ms. Kono, went to visit two (2) FES students. During their first few days, they were feeling homesick, but after that, they are now having a great time at school participating in lots of activities with their newfound friends.
Please see photos during the visit. In the last photo is Mr. Gregory Mean, Director of La Garenne, supporting summer students to engage in every way they can on what the school has to offer in the camp.
How time flies! Switzerland boarding schools have started their summer schools/camps since mid-June and that is now after a month or so. Many students are amazingly participating in summer schools/camps this year!
There are couple of FES students who have joined their summer school this week, and two (2) of them will participate in College Champittet’s Summer Leadership Camp.
Our consultant, Ms. Kono, has gladly accompanied the children from Zurich to Geneva and made sure they were entrusted well to the College Champittet staff.
It was a glorious day when our consultant, Ms. Kono, visited one of the students FES placed into CDL summer camps.
It is actually this young boy’s second time to join CDL this year and he’s really having an incredible time! More because he’s familiar with the school, the facilities, and of the people joining the camp. The counselors and staffs are so glad to have him back!
Aiglon College has just celebrated their Graduation Weekend. Here’s a short film of the captured moments of the events that’s happened, especially the much awaited big day for the graduating students with their respective families and the Aiglon family.
Congratulations and all the best to the newly graduates of Class 2018!
If you’re looking for a summer camp for your child with lots of adventure in the mountains, Collège Alpin Beau Soleil has got this for you! They offer language courses (either French, English, or Chinese) in the morning and a wide range of enjoyable sports and super fun activities both indoors and outdoors, from the afternoon until evening.
The school’s summer camp welcomes 7-17 years old students (Junior campers 7-10 ; Teen Campers 11-13 ; Senior Campers 14-17). It has four sessions that will run from July 7th – August 5th, 2018 and students can join for 2, 3, or 4 weeks.
But, if your child is purely all up for adrenaline rush, the school also offers a program exclusively for 16 years old students and it’s called Adrenaline +. You can either choose the session from July 7th – 21st OR, from July 22nd – August 5th. In this program, your child is in for extreme and exciting activities such as paragliding, via ferrata (a mountain route equipped with fixed ladders, cables, and bridges in order to be accessible to climbers and walkers), canyoning, rap jump, and can even finish the camp with a tandem skydive jump at 4,000 meters high!
